EAPC welcomes Plumbing Designer Eric Lang
to our Sioux Falls office.
Eric earned an Associates of Arts from Chemeketa Community College and a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Oregon State University. Eric then spent three and a half years in the military where he was a Gunners Mate in the U.S. Navy.
After his time in the military, Eric went on to begin his career in the plumbing field as a Hydraulic Operator – Assistant Operator at the end of 2013.
Eric’s most recent career experience involves serving as a Journeyman Plumber at Apollo Mechanical Contractors in Oregon. In this position, Eric worked within a team to plumb commercial structures including apartment buildings, data centers, wastewater treatment plants, schools, hospitals, and medical facilities. He also obtained his Oregon Plumbers License while in this role.
After several years of being hands-on in the plumbing field, Eric decided he was ready for a change. "I feel like the design aspect was the next step for me. It's mentally challenging versus physically challenging. I hope to be able to expand on the design aspects of things. I don't know what I don't know yet. There's a lot to learn."
In his new role at EAPC, Eric is looking forward to learning how to use the designing programs. He shares that he hopes his experience and knowledge of how things work in the hands-on part of the field will help him be a better designer.
"Eric’s field experience and initiative to jump in right away and educate and contribute to our team has already proven to be a great asset to the department. We’re thrilled to be working with him." --Parker Lawley, Mechanical Engineer and Sioux Falls Office Manager
