EAPC is excited to welcome Interior Designer Emma Sycks to our St. Paul office.
Emma recently earned a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from North Dakota State University. During her time in college, she was a Teaching Assistant in the interior design program. Emma is currently studying for her IDFX exam.
“I’m really excited to be graduated now and to get out into the field. I’m excited to get to work on designs past the rendering stage and to get to see them come to life.”
Emma first dived into the interior design world by helping out with a remodel of her grandma’s home when she was in middle school. “I was always reaching for building materials to make houses for my barbies instead of really playing with them. My Grandma wanted me to have a chance to lean into that.”
Emma’s professional interior design experience includes working as an Interior Design Assistant at Vee Marie Designs where she assisted the owner in schematic design, sourcing furniture, and ordering material samples. Emma also served as an Interior Design Intern at an architecture and interior design firm in St. Paul where she was responsible for organizing the material library, ordering and tracking material samples, and assisted with presentations, design concepts, and construction documents.
Her favorite types of design are office spaces and healthcare. Her senior thesis at NDSU was a social responsible behavioral health facility located on the west coast. Her favorite part was designing the community and counseling spaces. “I love being able to design and provide spaces where people feel comfortable.”
In her free time, Emma enjoys spending time outside and at the lake in the summertime. She is also an avid gym-goer and gets in a workout every morning at 4a.m. before work.
We are excited for Emma to join our interiors team!
Welcome to EAPC Emma!
