Owen MacDonald joins our St. Paul office as a Structural Designer, bringing a passion for mentorship and a drive to make a positive impact through structural design
Inspired by his father, a civil engineer, and mentors at the University of Minnesota (UMN), Owen chose this career to fully utilize his abilities and contribute to meaningful projects.
Currently finishing his civil engineering degree at UMN, Owen brings experience from roles at Unisystems Engineering and St. Anthony Falls Laboratory. His contributions as the hull design lead for UMN’s Concrete Canoe team helped his team secure a 4th-place finish in their division, showcasing his innovation and dedication.
In his free time, Owen enjoys mountain biking, ultimate frisbee, and basketball. He also loves outdoor adventures, often exploring nature with his girlfriend Bella and their dog Clover.
Fun Fact
Owen worked as a canoe guide in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area for five years, leading unforgettable outdoor adventures.
