Residential Hall MEP Projects
Comprehensive Systems Overhaul Enhances Comfort
Extensive mechanical and electrical upgrades were carried out in six residential halls at the University of South Dakota. The project focused on a comprehensive overhaul of heating, cooling, and plumbing systems to boost both comfort and energy efficiency for residents. This included the replacement of outdated hydronic heating and chilled water systems, the modernization of steam and condensate piping, and the introduction of advanced domestic water heating solutions. Additionally, the ventilation systems received significant enhancements with the installation of new air handlers and exhaust fans, ensuring optimal air quality and compliance with current building codes, thus markedly improving the living conditions for students.
