Wilson M. Laird Core and Sample Library
Strategic Design Expands UND’s Core Library Facilities
Strategically expanded and renovated, the Wilson M. Laird Core and Sample Library offers enhanced capabilities for geological research. The project has significantly increased storage and lab space, accommodating the growing influx of geological samples. The addition of 13,500 SF for office and lab use and 29,000 SF for core sample storage addressed the pressing needs for more extensive and secure research facilities. A newly constructed overhead walkway links the library to adjacent academic buildings, fostering seamless collaboration between the university's engineering and geological studies programs.
