Modern Design Revitalizes Papago Plaza with Energy-Efficient, User-Focused Storage Solutions
As part of the mixed-use redevelopment of the historic Papago Plaza in South Scottsdale, this modern self-storage facility enhances both functionality and aesthetics while prioritizing energy efficiency. The climate-controlled facility offers high-end personal storage, complemented by a front office and retail space to better serve users. Designed for convenience, the site includes two large canopy-covered loading areas to facilitate easy loading and unloading. Drought-tolerant, low-water landscaping ensures long-term sustainability in the desert climate, while low-light reflective paint colors, stone materials, and low-E window glazing contribute to both durability and energy efficiency. EAPC also redesigned the site’s entrance to efficiently accommodate emergency vehicles, waste collection, and facility traffic. With LED motion-sensor lighting and automated door sensors to regulate temperature controls, this facility delivers a modern, user-friendly storage experience while seamlessly integrating into the revitalized Papago Plaza development.
