Peltier Complex
Innovative Design Shapes Complex for Global Agriculture
The Peltier Complex represents a significant advancement in agricultural research and collaboration. NDSU's largest academic facility houses the Northern Crops Institute, Animal Science programs, and several other key agricultural and food science initiatives. This facility is designed to facilitate every step of crop and food production—from grain reception to final product evaluation—in state-of-the-art laboratories and processing centers. It also serves as a global hub for agricultural education, attracting experts and learners for collaborative projects and community outreach. The design includes shared workspaces and innovative features like a terrazzo floor in the atrium, designed to mirror agricultural plots, enhancing the connection between indoor and outdoor spaces.
