Art Deco Meets Modern Worship in a Reimagined Community Space
The old Safari Theater in Moorhead, Minnesota, has been transformed into a vibrant worship space for Ignite Church, merging historic art deco elements with modern design to meet current codes. The redevelopment includes a large worship area, Kid’s Ignite zone, classrooms, offices, and a lounge/fellowship area, alongside a kitchen and visitor center. It also features enhanced restrooms, a nursing area, and expanded storage. Exterior updates include new façade finishes, storefront systems, doors, windows, and signage, plus roofing, landscaping, sidewalks, and parking improvements. The redesign, encapsulating the church's mission to "Encounter God. Impact the World," has significantly boosted attendance, nearly doubling it post-renovation.
