EAPC Welcomes Peyton Miller as Electrical Engineer in our Phoenix office
Peyton earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Dordt University in Iowa. While at school, Peyton worked for the University’s Computer Services Department where he was responsible for fixing network issues, computers, and other campus technology.
Peyton first gained engineering experience as an Electrical Engineering Intern at EDA Engineering, Inc. where he utilized CAD to model electrical systems in buildings, performed calculations to aid in electrical design, and visited job sites for punch list check-ins.
He first got interested in the engineering field because of his grandpa, who was also an electrical engineer and even held a few patents.
When asked what brought him to EAPC, Peyton shares that his wife was an Architectural Intern in our Sioux Falls office (now Phoenix), and he’s seen the company’s culture first-hand. “Even going to things like the company picnic and interacting with the office manager [in Sioux Falls], I could tell it was a good work environment and a place we wanted to be.”
In his role at EAPC, Peyton says he is excited to have more freedom in his designs and to take on more responsibility as a full-time designer.
Peyton hopes to pass his Fundamentals of Engineering exam this fall, and to pursue his Professional Engineering licensure in the near future.
In college, Peyton was an accomplished athlete, having earned numerous first place finishes and lots of national recognition as part of the track and field team at Dordt. Even after graduation, Peyton says he still loves running and is even training to run the Disney Marathon this January!
Welcome to EAPC, Peyton!
