New Facility Enhances Student Preparedness with Real-World Training.
The University of Jamestown’s new Nursing Simulation Center in Fargo, located within the repurposed PRACS facility, offers a dynamic, hands-on learning environment designed to prepare students for real-life medical scenarios. The comprehensive remodel included demolition and reconstruction of interior spaces to create simulation labs, classrooms, meeting rooms, and offices. Upgraded infrastructure—plumbing, HVAC, fire suppression, power, and data systems—supports the center’s advanced capabilities. By replicating patient interactions and emergency care situations, the state-of-the-art facility equips nursing students with the confidence and skills needed to make critical decisions, communicate effectively, and deliver lifesaving care.
