Kindred Rural Fire Station

Comprehensive Renovation Enhances Emergency Response Capabilities

The Kindred Fire Station in North Dakota underwent a comprehensive renovation and expansion, adding a new five-bay apparatus area with advanced systems for water filling, exhaust removal, and compressed air. A new training tower, integral to the design, supports year-round training with facilities for rappelling, rope work, and confined space exercises. The existing building now houses a larger training room, a catering kitchen for community events, and updated office spaces with enhanced natural lighting. The addition also includes a laundry/decontamination room and dedicated gear storage. This project, in partnership with USDA Rural Development - North Dakota, was meticulously planned to meet budget and functional requirements, culminating in a versatile facility that supports both the Kindred Fire Department and the wider community.
