The new clinical laboratory at Banner University Medical Center Tucson is a significant upgrade to the facility’s diagnostic capabilities. The lab is equipped with the latest technology to handle everything from routine tests to highly specialized diagnostics. It also serves as a training site for future pathologists through Banner University's residency and fellowship programs. The lab plays a vital role in supporting key clinical programs, including pediatrics, trauma, surgery, stem cell transplant, solid organ transplant and oncology.
This facility brings together lab functions that were previously spread out in spaces that no longer suited the workflows and needs. Departments include, Test Management, Microbiology, P.O.C., Chemistry, Hematology/Coagulation, HLA, Molecular, HCTT, & Residents/Fellows
